We’re Kevin, Angie, Taylor, and Cassidy — a family of four who believe some of life’s best memories are made while exploring the world together. We started this family cruise blog to share everything we’ve learned with you and will continue to adapt and add as we learn and adventure!
From Alaska glaciers to Mexican beaches, cruise ship decks to Italian cobblestone streets, travel has always been at the heart of our family story. We’re a mom, dad, teen daughter, and preteen daughter who share one serious passion — cruising — and we’re here to share everything we’ve learned with you.
⚓ How Our Cruise Story Started
Our love affair with cruising started before we even became a family. We (Kevin and I) sailed to Alaska aboard the Celebrity Century for their honeymoon — and fell so completely in love with cruising that they went back to Alaska again before the newlywed glow had even worn off.
A Carnival cruise to Mexico from Los Angeles followed, and by the time our daughters Taylor and Cassidy arrived, cruising wasn’t just something we did — it was part of who we are.
Angie’s cruising roots go back even further. Her very first cruise was in 1997, sailing with 16 family members — Grandma, aunts, uncles, and cousins — a trip that sparked a lifelong love of travel that has never stopped growing.
🚢 Our Girls Are Cruisers Too
Taylor and Cassidy took their first cruise aboard Royal Caribbean’s Serenade of the Seas to Alaska — the same destination where their parents’ cruise story began. They’ve been hooked ever since.
Since then our girls have sailed on:
- Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas to Mexico
- Royal Caribbean Serenade of the Seas on an unforgettable family reunion cruise with cousins and extended family
With 3 cruises already under their belts and a serious case of wanderlust, they’re always ready to start planning the next one.
🌎 We Love to Travel Beyond the Ships Too
Cruising is our passion but our adventures don’t stop at the gangway. Some of our favourite travel memories as a family include:
✈️ Italy — exploring historic cities and incredible food together as a couple
🏯 Japan — Angie’s unforgettable Grade 6 trip that sparked a lifelong curiosity about the world
🎭 New Orleans — a special girls’ trip for Angie, her mom, and sister before a Carnival cruise to Mexico
🌴 Hawaii — visiting Maui, Oahu, Kauai, and the Big Island
🏰 Disneyland — a family favourite visited three times together
🛻 Oregon Coast — an epic Pacific Northwest road trip
🎰 Las Vegas — Kevin’s first trip at 17 and later visits as a family
